Road from NC to the 2018 AAU Karate National Championship

You need to qualify at only one event below but you will want to gain additional experience competing against new opponents and under pressure. 

  • April 14, 2018 | Richmond, VA | AAU Karate VA State Championships & National Qualifier
  • April 21, 2018 | Florence, SC | AAU Karate SC State Championships & National Qualifier
  • May 5, 2018 | Raleigh, NC | Southeast US SuperRegional Championships & National Qualifier
  • May 19, 2018 | Richmond, VA | AAU Karate VA Regional Championships & National Qualifier

National level competitions

  • Our dojo will send all team members to the AAU Karate National Championships in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida on June 26-30, 2018. 
  • Advanced/Black belt athletes will also be invited to compete at the AAU Junior Olympic Games in Des Moines, Iowa, (the karate portion is July 27-29.)

Join us for the final karate championship and qualifier in the Carolinas on May 5, 2018 in Raleigh, to gain experience in kobudo, kata, and kumite competition and to qualify for the AAU Karate national events AAU Karate National Championships to be held in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida on June 26-30, 2018 and the AAU Junior Olympic Games will be held in Des Moines, Iowa, on July 27-29, 2018.  Details are at www.aaukarate.org
