Yellow Belt
Japanese pronunciation is easy. Break words into short syllables ending with a vowel where possible. For example, Uke (block) is pronounced U-ke (oo-kay). These words are spelled correctly but have hyphens to separate syllables.
To achieve 9th kyu, a student must perform appropriate Ki-hon, Tai-Ki-O-Ku Sho-Dan, and San-Bon Ku-mi-te and know the following terminology.
